Quarterly Newsletter – March 2024

This summer, we have several big projects in the pipeline to be completed before the next heating season. These projects will improve our distribution network, allowing us to maximize our delivery capabilities and improve our days of storage during our harsh winters. The projects are highlighted in our updates section of the newsletter. At Superior Fuel, we are always working to better serve you, our customer.

This winter, we opened a new office in Brainerd MN and completed construction of a new propane plant located in Akeley, MN. These additions help us to better serve our customers in that region more effectively. With our rapid growth, we chose to invest in these communities to uphold our Mission of keeping our customers’ experience at the heart of everything we do.

Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of supporting great causes and giving back to our communities—something we couldn’t do without our amazing customers. Your support for our local business means the world to us, and we truly appreciate you!

• This winter, we pushed the terminal to its limits, but it ensured our customers had the propane they needed.

We were honored to be a sponsor of Never Surrender’s 26th Annual Black Woods Blizzard Tour, which is an event that supports the fight against ALS. ALS is a progressive disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This year’s tour raised over $1.6 million

We were honored to be a proud sponsor of the Inaugural Cody Buus Invitational Courage Snowmobile Ride, a three-day snowmobile ride benefiting the Northern Lights Foundation to provide financial support to families with children facing lifethreatening illnesses. Superior Fuel happily provided gasoline for all the riders for all three days of this incredible event.

• Superior Fuel would like to spotlight Renae P. of Duluth. Renae has been a customer of Superior Fuel since 2009.

We are proud to spotlight Mark Bodell for delivering 9 million gallons of propane. Mark has been with Superior Fuel since 2014. He originally began in the propane industry in 1977 where he delivered 100# and forklift cylinders. He then started delivering customer tanks in 1983. Mark estimates that he has delivered over 30,000,000 gallons in his career. We are very grateful for Mark and his dedication to Superior Fuel.

We are proud to spotlight Nate Wipson for his exceptional dedication and hard work at Superior Fuel. Nate has been a part of the team for over five years, starting as a yard worker and quickly growing his skill set to become our expert rail terminal operator. His commitment to expanding his skills has made him a versatile and invaluable member of our team. No matter the time or day, Nate has been there, ensuring that our drivers have the propane supply they need to deliver to the customers we serve. His commitment to this vital aspect of our business has made a noticeable impact, and we deeply appreciate his efforts.

Outside of work, Nate enjoys fishing, riding his side-by-side, and spending quality time with his German Shepherd. At Superior Fuel, we are incredibly grateful for Nate’s unwavering dedication and for embodying our mission of being a customer-centric organization.
